This specific challenge was to show that beauty can be found in the least likely of places. Create an atmosphere and overview which suits the new collection in a black and white feeling. Modern yet timeless.The style should always match the design created by Marjolein Delhaas. Some keywords are timeless, modern, clean and bold. As always a challenge to create a image which is minimalist yet exciting and unique to look at.

Metamorphosis

The site is at the Keihin Industrial region in the outskirt of Tokyo. Smoke billowing consistently from chimneys of heavy industrial factories may depict a negative image such as pollution and materialism. However, the photographs have focused on the different aspects of the factories portraying on its functional beauty. During the day, pipes and structures create geometric patterns with lines and textures and scale on weathered facilities creates an air of dignity. At night, the facilities change to a mysterious cosmic fortress that of sci-fi films in the 80's.

Forgotten Paris are black and white photographs of the old undergrounds of the French capital. This design is a repertoire of places that few people know because they are illegal and difficult to access. Matthieu Bouvier has been exploring these dangerous places for ten years to discover this forgotten past.

Chile 2018

We visited Chile in October 2018 on a Nikon-sponsored Photographic Expedition. We spent a week in both Patagonia and Easter Island. In both locations the scenery and wildlife were stunning and I did my best to capture the beauty I saw. Patagonia had the most amazing mountains, glaciers and wildlife. Easter Island was more of a cultural experience with the brooding Rapa Nui Moai statues.
